KJSynthora's Stopwatch & Timer gives you four precision timing tools in one free page — a stopwatch with lap tracking, a countdown timer, an interval timer for workouts, and a Pomodoro timer for focused work sessions.
A stopwatch counts up from zero and is used to measure elapsed time — how long something takes. A countdown timer counts down from a set time to zero and is used to track remaining time or enforce time limits. Both are available in this tool with millisecond precision.
Lap time is the time for each individual segment — from one Lap press to the next. Split time (cumulative time) is the total elapsed time from start to that Lap press. If your lap times are 0:30, 0:32, 0:31 — your split times are 0:30, 1:02, 1:33. Both are shown in the lap table and exported to CSV.
Click Start or press Space to begin the stopwatch. Click Lap or press L while it's running to record lap times. Click Stop to pause and Reset to clear everything. Lap times are shown in the table below the stopwatch with lap time, split time, and comparison to the best lap.
Yes. The stopwatch uses high-resolution timestamps (performance.now) to track elapsed time, so it stays accurate even when you switch browser tabs or minimize the window. The display updates when you return to the tab.
Yes. Switch to the Countdown tab, enter hours, minutes, and seconds, or click a quick preset (1 min, 5 min, 10 min, 25 min Pomodoro, etc.), then click Start. An alarm sound plays when the countdown reaches zero.
Lap time is the time for each individual segment — from one Lap press to the next. Split time is the total elapsed time from the start to that Lap press. Both are displayed in the lap table and included when you export to CSV.
Yes. Click the CSV button to download your lap times as a spreadsheet-compatible CSV file, or click Copy to copy them to your clipboard in a formatted table. Exported data includes lap number, lap time, split time, and the difference from the best lap.
Space: Start or Stop the current timer. L: Record a Lap (stopwatch mode). R: Reset the current timer. F: Enter fullscreen mode. Escape: Exit fullscreen or cancel. Shortcuts work globally on the page when no input field is focused.
The Pomodoro Technique uses 25-minute focused work sessions separated by 5-minute short breaks. After 4 Pomodoros, take a 15-minute long break. Switch to the Pomodoro tab, customize your work/break durations, and click Start. The tool tracks completed sessions with dot indicators.
The Interval Timer alternates between a work phase and a rest phase for a set number of rounds. It is commonly used for HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training), Tabata (20s work / 10s rest × 8 sets), CrossFit, and other circuit workouts. An audio beep sounds at each phase transition.
